Every day defence personnel, serving and retired and/or their families visit Chandigarh as it is the capital of Punjab State and very near to Chandimandir Cantonment and the Command Hospital. With a view to meet their needs, the Punjab Government constructed the Punjab Sainik Rest House in Sector 21-D, Chandigarh at a cost of Rs.90 lakh. The construction work was entrusted to Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation, Chandigarh.

(ii) State Government/Central Government employees. - Rs. 600/-
(iv) Department Employees/Ex-employees - Rs. 400/-
(b) Departmental employees/Ex-employees - 50% of the rates
applicable to the
to which they belong. (c) Rate of rent of Hall/Lawn will be fixed by respective Secretary Zila Sainik
Board for social Functions as per respective District prevailing Market
rates. (d) Deduction from the Security amount will be made in case any damage of
the facilities provided in noticed or any chargeable facility is made use of viz electricity /water etc. (e) Amount received as an advance for reservation in the Sainik Rest House shall not be refunded, if accommodation is not used by the applicant.
